Service Description

Have you ever found yourself needing to have a difficult conversation but not knowing exactly how to handle it? Whether it’s asking for a raise, giving a critical performance review or confronting a disrespectful or hurtful behaviour in someone – most people struggle to find the right way to manage this. That’s because most of the time, difficult conversations involve a mixture of facts intertwined with intense feelings, fear of the consequences or conflicting perceptions and interpretations, making the act of having a difficult conversation far more stressful than it should be. Well that’s about to change! During this high-audience participation workshop, Walthea will present a model developed by Douglas Stone, Bruce Patton and Sheila Heen of the Harvard Negotiation Project, which will teach how to handle difficult conversations that focus on bringing respect to the conversation without falling into the zero-sum game of combat mentality, oversimplifying the problem, lashing out, shutting down or losing sight of the goal. During this workshop, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to identify the hidden obstacles that may be preventing a satisfying outcome in your difficult conversations. Learn to tackle those difficult conversations in a positive, stress-free way
